Michael Silver obtained his LL.B from the University of Western Ontario and his LL.M from Cambridge University in England
Michael Silver attended the London Chartered Institute of Arbitrators' Course at Oxford University and obtained his Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration.
Private mediation and arbitration practice: 1997-present
He developed and teaches Ryerson University's Dispute Resolution Program, and was active with the ADR Section of the Canadian Bar Association. He has delivered many papers and written numerous articles on the subject.
He has over 7 years of Bay Street litigation experience.
One of two full-time mediators with the Ontario Court-annexed ADR Centre pilot project in Toronto, 1994 - 1997
He is the author/co-author of three legal texts:
"Solicitor-Client Privelege in Canadian Law" (Butterworths, 1993)
"The Law of Confidential Communications in Canada" (Butterworths, 1996)
"Mediation and Negotation: Representing Your Clients" (Butterworths, 2001)
